Introduction: 
The Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia (RIMPA) is the longest serving peak body for industry practitioners in the southern hemisphere, connecting globally through ARMA International.

RIMPA brings together people, companies, and organisations to realise the positive outcomes of what information management can achieve RIMPA actively promotes best practice, sets industry standards, and fosters professional development to achieve your full information lifecycle.

We create a network for innovation and collaboration across business, government and stakeholders to provide a better future for people, society, the economy and the planet.

ADVOCACY
RIMPA is committed to advocating on behalf of its members’ on issues impacting records and information professionals and on matters relating to recordkeeping in society.
As part of RIMPA’s commitment to cultivating exemplary practice in records and information management, we focus on three main areas:

LEADERSHIP
● Provide leadership in records and information management and a framework for members, the community and government advocacy
● Administer submissions and representations to all levels of government
● Raise the profile of the profession and industry practitioners

COMMUNITY
● Deliver compelling member communication and unique member benefits
● Work with Special Interest Groups (SIG) to advocate matters impacting them
● Representation of membership to international and Australasian governance bodies
● Collaborate with distinguished allied professional associations
● Provide ongoing mentoring and training opportunities

● Advance education and professional development standards to foster lifelong careers

● Collaborate with education departments about the establishment, accreditation and conduct of records management courses

Internship Tasks:
● Support with general activities, such as document sorting, data collection, translation, basic website maintenance, social media, project management, communication and event help, etc. 
● The specific content of the internship depends on the needs at that time.

Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree (completed/ongoing), prefer the students in the background of Information Management, Communication, Marketing or Digital Media, etc.
● Fluency in spoken and written English
● Strong interpersonal and English communicative skills
● Proficiency in MS software (e.g. Word, Excel, Power point)
