International Social Service (ISS)

Nordic Council of Shopping Centers (NCSC) is the organization representing the Shopping Center Industry in the Nordic market. Founded in 1986, NCSC today has approximately 1 200 members from Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iceland and other European countries.

The list of members include a wide variety of interest groups, ranging from real estate companies, investors, center managers, retailers, service industries, trade associations and city planners, to government and municipal authorities.

Mission and Vision
● Works for a continuous development of the Nordic shopping center industry as an integrated part of society.
● Brings together all the different interest groups involved in shopping centers and creates a neutral ground for professional discussions.
● Aims to be the spokesperson & source of information for the shopping center industry.

PURPOSE

The Association aims to:
A. Strengthen and promote interaction between all the industry stakeholders and public authorities regarding the establishment, development and operation of shopping centers.
B. Contribute to the training and education of personnel working with the development and operation of shopping centers.
C. Strengthen the position of shopping centers as an integral part of society, promote the development of shopping centers in the Nordic region and raise the standard of these shopping centers.
D. Strengthen the international exchange of information, ideas and experiences through active involvement in i.e. the International Council of Shopping Centers, ICSC, and its European Committees or similar organizations.
E. Promote, prepare for and broaden the range of research, surveys and essays concerning the industry, in order to ensure solid and continuous development.
F. NCSC should aim to become the natural spokesperson & source of information for the shopping center industry for Nordic countries. 
Internship Tasks:
● Support with general activities, such as document sorting, data collection, translation, basic website maintenance, project management, communication and event help, etc. 
● Capture trends within retail/omni-channel and produce inspirational content for our social media channels.
● The specific content of the internship depends on the needs at that time.

Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree (completed/ongoing); Majoring in Marketing or similar
● Fluency in spoken and written English
● Strong interpersonal and English communicative skills
● Proficiency in MS software (e.g. Word, Excel, Power point)
● Having own ideas about new store concepts, experiences, services, and trends within retail and commercial real estate
