PACC Policy are a team of self-motivated climate solutions enthusiasts from diverse professional background with a strong affinity to advocate, preserve and conserve the African environment through systematic thinking while working in line with national policies and international framework on climate change.

Mission Statement
Achieve for African countries a significant level of awareness on climate policies, and ensure that climate change mitigation, adaptation and resilience strategies are disseminated throughout Africa.

Increase the level of awareness on Climate Policies in line with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) through trained climate change corps, educators and reporters.

Focus Areas
● Dialogue with community as stakeholders to raise their awareness for collective participation and promote environmental sustainability
● Set up an independent task force to monitor a country’s specific Paris Agreement initiatives through efforts of local partners and trained climate change activists
● Establish working relations and linkages with public and private institutions working on environmental and climate change projects
● Discuss regional policies on environment with focus on climate change mitigation and adaptation
● Organize public events and campaigns to raise awareness and public support on environmental sustainability and climate change
● Work with women groups to empower them on resilience and adaptation against climate change
● Raise awareness on renewable energy policies as they relate to climate change and environment
● Encourage innovation in solar energy through research
● Establish climate change volunteer youth campus corps chapters in schools across Africa.
● Work with state institutions (legislative arm of governments) on the stated and agreed objective of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to prevent dangerous levels of human interference with the climate system.
● Work with farmers to tackle climate change by educating them on environmentally friendly methods of farming.

Job Title: Partnerships Development Support Staff– RemotelyThe Partnerships Development support staff is a talented and highly motivated individual, responsible for the communication, logistics, research and the management of the relationship within the corporate milieu and with community partners. The primary focus of the Partnership support staff is the establishment and implementation of a comprehensive partnership strategy for inspiring the public and individuals to support our work and share our mission. He/She is to help PACC Policy to drive organizational growth through information development in accordance with the strategic direction for 2022-2025. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● In consultation with the PACCPOLICY’s vision and mission, plan, develop, implement and coordinate a partnership strategy and annual work plan.
● Identify, cultivate and secure relationships with donors/partners for identified projects.
● Assist with completing contracts, request for proposals, and PACCPOLICY’s newsletters.
● Develop and submit quality funding applications to donors in accordance with donor criteria and deadlines.
● Ensure that all proposals, materials and documents developed are of the highest quality and reflect PACCPOLICY’s values and global objectives.
● Respond to emails, requests from partners, or internal requests from Team.
● Schedule and/or coordinate meetings between partners and the PACCPOLICY Board.
● Create reports or presentations for meetings with partners.
● Ensures that activity reports, action sheets and other materials from other staff are submitted to PACCPOLICY.
● Works with outreach team to plan, monitor and evaluate progress of outdoor projects.
●Identify the capacity building need of staff, develop, lead on the implementation of internal training programs on key fundraising issues, and organize external training where appropriate in consultation with management committee. Skills Needed

Job Title: Climate Finance Support Staff–Remotely SummaryThe Climate Finance Support Staff will be primarily responsible for supporting cities in preparing effective project funding proposals and mobilizing finance from different financial mechanisms and instruments, including those associated with the public sector, donors, and private sector partners. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Develop a practical and operational model for leveraging resources from public funders and private donors.
● Facilitate the creation of instruments for financing climate resilience projects and initiatives.
● Identify and seek access to existing and untapped domestic revenue streams for resilience.
● Design and employ creative financial mechanisms to facilitate access to additional climate finance options.
● Identify climate financing initiatives and opportunities (such as the GCF, GEF, Adaptation Fund, etc.) and support the mobilization of climate finance for climate action and NDC implementation, from national to international sources, and from public to private sources.
● Raise awareness and enhance the capacity of potential funders and financiers on urban resilience, its importance, and opportunities.
● Organise knowledge management and training sessions to build capacities of national stakeholders to design climate change projects and to access the different existing sources of climate finance.
●Develop publications, articles and papers that contribute to policy formulation in both the Ministry for Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Land and Environment (for PACCPOLICY operating countries) for climate adaptation and mitigation projects development. Skills Needed

Internship Tasks:
Job Title: Eco-Club Program Support Staff – A remote internship, telecommuting to the PACC Policy office in Manpong Ashanti, Ghana / Limbe, CameroonSummaryThe Eco-club Program Support Staff will work directly with the Program Coordinator to facilitate education programs and ensure their success in schools. He or she will empower students/pupils to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. He/She will develop a syllabus which will empower students/pupils to explore environmental concepts and actions beyond the confines of a syllabus or curriculum. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Develop or adapt engaging lesson plans and programs for eco clubs
● Plan and set up weekly education programs 
● Plan and organise online workshops and seminars for youths
● Explore possible partnership and funding options
● Develop strategic concepts and proposals in line with organizational goals
● Coordinate and arrange speakers and logistics for public nature programs Skills Needed
