International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE)

The International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) was founded in 1909 and is an organization of more than 120 national chapters.
The goals of the ILAE are:
To advance and disseminate knowledge about epilepsy
To promote research, education and training
To improve services and care for patients, especially by prevention, diagnosis and treatment
Internship Tasks:
ILAE organize an international and six regional congresses every two years, as well as webinars, fora, symposia and committee meetings. Interns will work closely with the congress team.

Duties and Responsibilities include: · 
● Assists in planning and arranging congresses and meetings including database management, marketing and promotional materials, preparing congress documents, liaising with committee members and industry partners all under the supervision of a congress manager · 
● Manages correspondence by answering emails · 
● Join weekly staff meetings (via zoom) · 
● Attends workshops and conferences as needed

 Location:
ILAE have offices in USA and Ireland. The intern role shall be associated with the Dublin office in Ireland. Currently all staff are working remotely.

Duration:
● expected duration is for 4 months; a longer time can be considered if preferred
● Anticipated commitment would be a minimum of 25 hours a week; if intern is based in a different time zone to Dublin office (GMT), at least three hours a day must overlap with Dublin office
