World Eatology Forum (WEF)

World Eatology Forum (WEF) was founded in 2017 by Liu Guangwei, the initiator of Eatology and the president of Beijing Eatology Research Institute. The WEF is operated based on the principle of Eatology, which incorporates food production, food utilization and food order into one study and treat them as a whole for the first time. From a food perspective, it advocates adopting a holistic approach to problems that raised in the industrial civilization, such as resource depletion, ecological damage, environment pollution, the gap between rich and poor, hunger, food wastage, food safety and food related diseases.

Mission Statement:
Eatology is public knowledge with the aim of solving food problems confronting us. Guided by SDGs, based on the principle of Eatology, World Eatology Forum provides a platform for more than 500 entrepreneurs and experts in the area of food around the world to discuss food challenges that constrain human sustainable development, to upgrade partial management of food issues to global food governance, and to enhance the impact of it from “100-year” to “1000-year”. The forum is designed to facilitate eatage civilization and to push us to achieve the three major goals of it – to have greater longevity, to build global food governance and to maintain population continuity.
