MISSION
GeSI is a globally recognized thought leader, partner of choice and proactive driver of the ICT sustainability agenda as measured by the development and use of its tools, broad member base and contributions to relevant policies.

In collaboration with members from major Information and Communication Technology companies and organisations around the globe, the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) is a leading source of impartial information, resources and best practices for achieving integrated social and environmental sustainability through ICT.
The Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) is an inclusive and open multi-sectoral, multi-stakeholder organization embracing a challenging agenda, driven by leading visionary and committed global corporations. GeSI holds the firm belief that responsible business, with digital sustainability at its core, will make for the most successful companies in the years to come.  We support efforts that ensure environmental and social sustainability because they are inextricably linked in their impact on society and communities around the globe.
GeSI is comprised of diverse and international members and partnerships, representing around 40 of the world’s leading ICT companies, 12 global business and multiple international organisations, such as the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), global asset management firm Arabesque, and the World Resources Forum Association (WRFA). 
GeSI works with a range of international stakeholders committed to ICT sustainability,  fosters collaborative and innovative approaches to sustainability,  with its members and partners drives the global transformation to a smarter, more sustainable world in 2030 with digital solutions at its core and supports member initiatives in developed and developing nations which tackle: climate change, energy/resource efficiency, privacy and security, digital literacy and digital divide, people’s rights, as well as foster collaborative and innovative approaches, ideas and joint initiatives. With these partnerships, GeSI works towards its global vision of a greater evolution of the ICT sector to best meet the challenges of sustainable development. 
GeSI is committed to sustainability actions and outcomes. Our members and partners use their collective knowledge and experience to identify opportunities and develop solutions for improving energy and resource efficiency, reducing carbon emissions and footprints, ensuring sustainable good practices in the supply chain, encouraging access to sustainable technologies, and supporting worldwide Digital enabled transformation across all industries.
Internship Tasks:
● Prepare documents for Board, General Assembly and Working Group activities and accompanying their implementation;
● Draft minutes for meetings and conference calls of the GeSI Board, GA and WGs;
● Contribute to GeSI communication activities;
● Perform any other task requested by the Director/CEO

Requirements:
● Background sustainability/Journalism/Communications/Marketing issues 
● Interest in climate change, environment, sustainability issues
● Bachelor’s degree (completed/ongoing)
● Excellent written and oral command of English;
● The ability to use electronic office equipment and applications (word processing, spread sheets, presentations, electronic communication, internet etc.);
● Excellent time management and organisational skills;
● Experience in note-taking/minute-taking is very desirable;
● Clear and precise communication skills both verbally and in writing and well-developed interpersonal skills;
