Our Mission

Learning Disabilities Worldwide (LDW®) works to enhance the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, with a special emphasis on the underserved. Our purpose is to identify and support the unrecognized strengths and capabilities of persons with learning disabilities. We strive to increase awareness and understanding of learning disabilities through our multilingual media productions and publications that serve populations across cultures and nations. Our educational enrichment programs are designed to serve individuals with learning disabilities, their families, and the professionals in their lives.

Who We Are

Learning Disabilities Worldwide, Inc. (LDW®), established in 1965, is the premier international professional organization dedicated to improving the educational, professional, and personal outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities (LD) and other related disorders. LDW® members include world-renowned experts and scholars, preservice teachers, general education teachers, special education teachers, paraprofessionals, team coaches, clinicians, consultants, administrators, medical and mental health professionals, individuals with learning disabilities, and their parents and families.

What We Do

Through its many programs, LDW® works to enhance the academic, professional, and personal lives of individuals with learning disabilities.

Internship Tasks

Social media/ Marketing assistant

Contributing to the sharing of audio-visual content through our own platform and in relevant spaces, maintaining the high quality of our social media posts

Web design assistant

Communications support such as the development of website related features, updating the website and monitoring online usage

Education intern

Help organize international conferences, assist with educational researches, translate books, journals and papers


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (completed/ongoing)

●  Fluency in spoken and written English

●  Strong interpersonal and English communicative skills

●  Proficiency in MS software (e.g. Word, Excel, Power point)
