Coalition for Fair Fisheries Agreements (CFFA)

The Coalition for Fair Fisheries Arrangements (CFFA-CAPE) is a platform of European and African development and environmental NGOs and professional fisheries organisations that raises awareness about the impacts of the EU-Africa fisheries arrangements on African artisanal fishing communities. We also monitor EU and other distant water fishing nations policies on trade, investments and political reforms related to fisheries, to promote economic, political and social rights for African artisanal fishing communities.CFFA works for a fundamental change in European Union policy and practice of the EU-ACP Fisheries Agreements; contribute to the sustainable use and development of fishery resources for the benefit of coastal communities, to the livelihood and food security of fishery dependent populations and to the conservation of global fish stocks for future generations.
